About SCIDA The Seneca County Industrial Development Agency (SCIDA) is a public benefit corporation created in 1973 by an act of the New York State Legislature. The agency's primary purpose is to promote private sector commercial and industrial development, and advance the job opportunities and economic welfare of the people of Seneca County. In the past 25 years, the SCIDA has helped bring more than 5,000 new jobs to Seneca County. SCIDA has helped to recruit and expand more than 100 companies. A 9-member board of directors governs the SCIDA. The Board is appointed by the Seneca County Board of Supervisors. Professional staff manages the day-to-day operations of the SCIDA. SCIDA Board Members A board, drawn from the community's private sector leaders, governs the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency.
